Devil’s Backbone
Set in the Blue Ridge Mountains along the Appalachian Trail, Devil’s Backbone is one of Virginia’s most well-known and established craft breweries, recognized for its mountain setting, thoughtful hospitality, and commitment to doing things the right way. What began as a small destination brewery has become a cornerstone of Virginia’s craft beer and craft spirits culture, and we’re proud to have developed an entire lineup of cigars just for them.
The Sasquatch
Rare and misunderstood like the Sasquatch himself, this mellow-medium bodied cigar is rolled with an exotic candela wrapper, imparting notes of honey and herbal green tea, paired with a blend of Nicaraguan tobaccos featuring notes of cedar and cinnamon. Approachable to smokers at every level of experience, the Sasquatch is stand out smoke in both experience and appearance.
The Woodsman
Draped in a dark, oily San Andrés maduro wrapper from Mexico, this cigar reveals its boldness from the first draw, full-bodied with a triple ligero blend, the Woodsman delivers unrelenting depth and complexity. Expect rich flavors of roasted espresso and bittersweet cocoa, layered with pepper and a subtle mineral edge unique to San Andrés tobacco.
The Folktale
Crafted with an exotic Cameroon wrapper, a Sumatran binder, and an even rarer filler blend featuring Cuban-seed tobacco from the volcanic island of Ometepe, the Folktale is a medium-full cigar with a rich yet smooth body whose flavors pay homage to the tales and legends for which it’s named. The Folktale produces subtle sweetness and espresso with a nutty depth, as well as mild floral spice and volcanic earth.
The Devil’s Pass
Rolled with an alternating maduro Habano and light Habano wrapper, a Sumatran binder, and filler blend with tobacco from Condega, Estelí, and Jalapa, the Devil’s Pass producing a smoke that rests on the milder side of medium. Despite the maduro presence, the profile is approachable, offering nuanced notes of earth, gentle pepper, and natural sweetness. Designed to stand out while remaining accessible to all smokers.
The Orchard
The Orchard is a refined yet approachable mild cigar crafted to highlight both balance and sweetness. The golden Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper offers a creamy and mellow foundation. And the sweet-tipped cap enhances every draw, delivering a natural sweetness that lingers from first light to final ash. Expect notes of cream, toasted almond, cedar, and soft hay, with underlying earth, baking spice, and a delicate kiss of natural sweetness on the lips.
The Cabin
The Cabin is a Nicaraguan puro infused with the rich essence of roasted coffee. This cigar balances the natural earthiness of Nicaraguan tobacco with smooth coffee and a sweetened tip that lingers on the palate. A mellow, mild-medium bodied cigar, it features notes of cocoa, cedar, and espresso crema. It’s a smoke that feels both familiar and refined, a fireside companion crafted with tradition and patience in Estelí, Nicaragua.
